Los Cristianos beach
Los Cristianos is a popular resort situated in the sunny south of Tenerife, next to the bustling resort Playa de las Américas. The towns have merged so much in recent years that your average tourist wouldn’t be able to tell where the two towns meet.
Those who are about to go on a romantic couple’s vacation should take a closer look at the 4-star H10 Big Sur. A very nice hotel that scores high marks of the guests and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean.
The beach in general
The beautiful beach, Playa de Los Cristianos, is the main beach in Los Cristianos. The beach is partially artificial with fine-grained sand.
The harbour offers great protection of the beach and ensures that the shallow water is relatively calm most of the time. There are many sun lounges and sunshades for rent. There are also showers to wash off the salt water and toilets.

Playa de Los Cristianos is very child friendly. The sand is fine, the water calm and shallow and there is a children’s play area close to the beach.
Water sports
It’s possible to rent pedalos and windsurfing equipment at Playa de Los Cristianos. If you want something more adrenaline-filled, head to the neighboring beach of Las Vistas.

The beach promenade is lined with restaurants, cafés and bars.
The resort Los Cristianos
Los Cristianos was once a quiet fishing village, but over the last 20 years it has been transformed into one of the most popular resorts in the Canaries.
Los Cristianos is the prime shopping centre for the south of Tenerife. The town centre is closed to traffic and here you will discover a labyrinth of shops, including designer labels. Every Sunday there is a large market offering everything from watches and jewelry to clothes and music.
The harbour offers fishing trips, glass bottom boats, diving excursions and ferries to the neighboring island of La Gomera.
